Guard Against Destruction On Te Rae Kai Hau Point
aka Te Raekaihau Point

RAKIURA MUSIC - About Us
music inspired by the light from the southern sky

Music for Wellington, New Zealand, and the World.

Mission: Fundraising for GADOT at Te Rae Kai Hau Point

We are a collection of musicians, singers, songwriters, performers, producers, engineeers, promoters, in an around Wellington making music for the love of it. Recording, sharing and celebrating our aroha for the universe and everything! Some of us are fresh into the industry, some have been around for decades (yes the dinosaurs of rock did survive!)

Our core mission is to share the joy of music in all aspects with as many of you as possible, using a variety of platrforms and 'vehicles' to deliver the material to you. First and foremost is live performance, and then next best is CD /DVD of those performances. We are also into studio production and movie making, and between us we cover nearly genre possible, perhaps even inventing new ones..

We are fully inclusive of all peoples, and skills, we love and hate all forms of art and creative activity, lighting, images, clothing, environments, etc.

Our common caring for the planet and humanity brings us together to make music to help fund the democratic process of supporting and/or opposing projects according to their overall benefit or threat to us all.

Another common concern is the preservation and regeneration of historic kiwi performances, on tape and records, some more than 50 years old.
