Three scapes three went off!!  Not too many people but regulars showed

up and the moonrise and sunset were both stunning. We had a huge wind at

Anyone know of NZ sources for convex mirrors such as pictured? I have

written to Cosmodome  but I don’t want the warping software, I’m happy

camera….  Creative New Zealand just allocated $4.1Million,  from 671

applications  for $12.7M, so yes, I think we should be able to do

High Court Appeal could result in light pollution (trespass) Todays News,  high court appeal  hearing dates set down.



There has been an estimated $1.5M spent on trying to build on the open

space on the Wellington South Coast, and another round of legal fees

coming up for the high court appeal in May 2008.

Yes, always a worry… but there are 50,000 in enzed and the developers

(Wellington City Council and Business) were quite happy to trash the

space ‘for the greater good’ …  And there is said to be 300-500,000

Sri Nakarin Dam 69 kilometres from Kanchanaburi, and just 4 kilometres

Possibly not much help - I miss my Konica-Minolta for day shots, but it

was useless for night. I always liked Minolta from back in the 70’s but

then I loved the Canon AE1 program as well.  The K-M Dimage A2 cost

$2400 and is now $300 on trademe…

time but the 20D cant even find them even in bright daylight… also, at

night, same for the penguins, the 20D built in flash isn’t enough to

achieve trial focus at more than a few metr

Agree with DSLR.. wouldn’t be without it,  flexibility, lenses, prime

use on scopes,  and night use are critical.   But also having a small

high performance camera for under $500 in the pocket is a great idea for

the day shots.

sun distorts in wierd ways Hey all..



I was treated to one of the best sunset displays of my life on January

4th, flying to my Nephews wedding in Auckland, I had booked the LH

window on the web and chosen the sunset flight, and it was only $49!!!
